Founded 2009

Xtego (pronounced “ex-tee-go”) was founded in 2009 with the goal of being a website hosting company but quickly pivoted to offering website design services.  We learned early on that our target client, small and medium-sized businesses, didn’t want multiple points of contact for managing their website.  A separate registrar, designer, host, and marketer was more than our clients wanted to deal with.  They wanted a single point of contact to manage all things web.  Xtego was born.

We are often asked what the name Xtego means.  It honestly has no meaning.  The domain name xtego.com was purchased in 2005 in the heart of the web 2.0 boom.  It seemed every company was looking for short creative domains to be the home for their online presence.  Xtego.com was available and was purchased to be a “play” domain for web projects.  Fast forward 4 years and the domain became the official DBA for our firm.

Then and Now

Things have changed over the years as Xtego (now Xtego, LLC), has become a full service web and design company.   We added print services in 2018 and logo design around the same time.  We’ve taken on creative projects that harmonize web, networking and design together.  One such projhect was the Interactive Donor Kiosks used by the UPMC Susquehanna Health Foundation.  You’ll find these in the lobby of each UPMC hospital in the Williamsport region.  We continue to strive and innovate to stay ahead of design trends and technologies which can benefit our clients.

Faith-Based Company

At Xtego, we love what we do.  Web, design, and technology excite the inner nerd within us.  We also love helping our clients succeed.  But, Xtego exists for a greater purpose than these things.  We are a faith-based company with a higher calling than just the websites and technology we deploy.  We cling to Christ’s commission in Matthew 28 where he calls his followers to make disciples of him.  This is the true mission of Xtego.  It is our hope, that through the services we provide that God’s name would be glorified.  We are unapologetic about our beliefs and mission, and while we don’t require our clients to share in those beliefs, we prefer to be upfront and honest about them.
